NEWS! The first batch has been flown into the U.S. — units are now available for the fastest customers! The first container with Weekend Prime is arriving from Sweden mid-August!
The Separett Weekend Prime is the optimal solution for those with occasional need for a toilet or those living completely off the grid. Built on the same sturdy frame as the Separett Tiny, this simplified model removes all electronic components, ventilation systems, and additional features to offer a hassle-free, manual-use solution. Weekend Prime is only available with internal urine container, but an internal urine tube is available for those wishing to convert the toilet to external urine handling.
Designed with weekend and occasional use in mind, the Weekend Prime efficiently separates liquid and solid waste, ensuring an eco-friendly sanitation option without requiring electricity or ventilation. Unlike the Separett Tiny, this model features a fixed upper part, eliminating moving components while maintaining a sleek and compact design.
To manage odors, we recommend using a compostable medium in the solids container, such as hemp, peat, sawdust, or coconut coir. The absence of a fan also means this toilet is entirely silent.
The use of the solids bucket lid, visible in some of the pictures, is often not necessary and is therefore sold separately. You can order it here.

No electronics
This toilet doesn’t have any electronic components, which also means that he toilet does not indicate when the urine container needs emptying and there is no fan to guarantee odorless use.
Odor control
Separett Weekend Prime does not have a fan or ventilation system, odor management is handled manually using natural composting materials. The urine-separating design keeps solids drier, further reducing odor. We recommend using Separett Absorb pads or a compostable medium (such as peat, sawdust, or coconut coir) in the solids container to minimize odors.

Toilet placement
Separett Weekend Prime no requirements for room temperature and works in both cold and warm spaces.
The toilet can be moved around, but if it's used permanently in one place, it's recommended toplace it on the floor against a wall, and for extra stability the toilet be attached either screwed down to the floor, the wall or both.
Use of an external ventilation system
Separett Weekend Prime doesn't have an internal fan but can be connected to a ventilation duct with an external fan. You’ll need to buy a suitable gasket, remove the plug from the back left corner of the toilet and connect the toilet to a suitable ventilation duct such as Separett Flexible Ventilation Hose.
It's very important to remember to use an insect net and a ventilation cap at the end of the ventilation duct to prevent rain, snow, debris, insects, birds and rodents from entering the toilet.
Handling of Solid Waste
Handling of Solid Waste
Many people dispose of toilet waste the same way they would dispose of diapers, but it’s also possible to compost it into nutrient-rich compost.
Keep in mind that the waste is not composted when you empty the bucket. Human waste should be composted for at least 6 months, preferably 12 months, to ensure pathogens are eliminated. Mixing garden waste, kitchen scraps, and toilet waste helps speed up the process and improve the result. A good rule of thumb is to plan for at least 30 gallons (110 liters) per user, using two containers so one can rest while the other is in use.
Always use a sealed bin or a container with a collection tray to prevent leaching. Make sure it has a solid lid and secured ventilation grates to keep out rodents, insects, and rain.

No need for an agitator
Many composting toilet models on the market include an agitator. However, effective composting requires significantly more volume and higher temperatures than what these compact toilets provide, making an agitator unnecessary in units of this size.
Agitators also introduce components that come into direct contact with waste, making them harder to clean and increasing the risk of mechanical failure.
Handling of Liquid Waste
Handling of Liquid Waste
The integrated urine container is easy to remove and carry, allowing for convenient and flexible waste handling. Most users empty the container into a standard toilet, a designated greywater system, or an appropriate outdoor disposal site in accordance with local regulations.
To maintain hygiene and prevent odors, it's important to rinse the container with water after each emptying. Additionally, we recommend rinsing the container once every two weeks with a 50/50 water and vinegar mix to help break down residue and eliminate any lingering smells.
If you're stationary and wish to dispose of it outdoors, always follow local waste management and greywater guidelines to ensure safe and responsible disposal.
