Hi, I just read a review and response from April regarding an upgrade to the urine gasket. Is this a permanent upgrade? And is it available? As we haven't been able to use our toilet for the last year.

Unfortunately, not all the correct size pipes were shipped with the unit. Our handyman has had to provide additional pipes in the right size and shave one to fit in the opening at the top of the unit. We are installing this unit in a emergency bathroom in our garage for the possibility of surviving an earthquake in a urban area.
We're sorry to hear you've experienced issues with the installation of your Villa toilet. The delivery contents are listed on the product detail page. Each unit includes 6.6 ft of urine hose and approximately 1.5 ft of ventilation pipe to support a straightforward installation.
The urine hose is compatible with standard U.S. 1 1/4' piping using this adapter: https://separett.shop/products/us-connector-urine-hose. The ventilation pipe is a standard U.S. 3' Schedule 20 PVC pipe.
The toilet was originally designed for European 75 mm ventilation pipes, but here in the U.S. it is delivered with an adapter that connects the internal duct to a U.S. 3' Schedule 20 pipe. I love the toilet, don’t get me wrong by having to replace these gaskets every 4 to 6 months is kind of ….I have the toilet partially to be eco-friendly. Unfortunately, I’m assuming with the tariffs they have gone up five dollars in just the last Seven months or so since I last ordered them. If you don’t have extras on hand, you’ll be very sorry so you’re kind of stuck in buying them.
Otherwise the toilet is dynamite. Is there another material that could be used?

I’ve had a DIY waterless toilet in my RV prior to the Tiny. I purchased 3D printed diverters and a fan set up. It still smelled. As soon as I used the Tiny, there is NO lingering odor (normally…if you know what I mean).
My only real complaint is the rubber gasket the urine diverter fits into the urine collection container. I’m lucky if I can get one of those past 6 months before I have to replace due to advanced swelling and misshapen terribleness it becomes. I live in the desert SW, it’s dry. I’ve tried leaving the lid open here and there. I’ve tried leaving it out to dry when I dump the liquids. It really sucks. $20-30 a year on just rubber gaskets (proprietary) alone. I would love it if there was a permanent, eco friendly solution to this problem. If you’re somewhere with your RV and you don’t have an address to send it to because you’re full-time like me it really sucks when these things go bad. Because that is what keeps the urine from splashing all over the place between the diverter and the container. Ask me how I know.

The actual product and the company are great. It was easy shipping and super easy to install. I do not think it should have burned out in just over a year and I think the replacement part was super expensive at 120+ dollars. But. Had to have it
I'm not sure why my old fan stopped working after only a year (perhaps some liquid got into the power adapter plug?) but it was very straightforward replacing this fan. I followed a video on YouTube. Hopefully this fan will last longer than a year.
Very glad they have a 5 year warranty on their Separett and fulfilled it very quickly.
I have three Separett composting toilets in some hunting property where septic isn't practical. I bought the first one about 7 or 8 years ago and two more since then. They work beautifully. I had a defect in seat of the most recent one purchased so I called the company to report it and they replaced it without question. I am very happy with the product and the company's integrity in standing behind their product.
