Separett Pee Urine Toilet

Many users connect the urine outlet from Separett Pee to a greywater system, an Ecovault Infiltration Chamber, or a sealed container such as the Separett Ejectortank for reuse or disposal.

The Ecovault Infiltration Chamber is a purpose-built solution for managing urine and light greywater on-site. Unlike simple gravel soakaways, the chamber provides a defined structure that maintains void space over time, while the non-woven geotextile fabric prevents surrounding soil from migrating into the system. This helps maintain infiltration performance and extends the functional lifespan compared to pits that rely solely on loose gravel, where materials can gradually mix and reduce drainage capacity.

Alternatively, urine can be collected in a sealed container like the Separett Ejectortank and reused as a fertilizer. The Ejectortank uses water pressure to automatically dilute urine at a ratio of approximately 1:8 during emptying, ensuring a consistent mixture without manual handling. This diluted solution can be applied to lawns, shrubs, and ornamental plants, returning nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium back into the soil. Regular use can contribute to visibly greener grass and supports a more circular use of nutrients.

If storing urine, use a closed container and empty it regularly to minimize odor. The Ejectortank includes a float indicator to signal when it is time for emptying and can be installed underground with only the lid visible for convenient access.

A simple soakaway can be used where permitted, but performance depends heavily on soil conditions and construction quality. Over time, soil and fine particles may migrate into the gravel, reducing porosity and infiltration capacity. For more consistent, long-term performance, a structured infiltration system with proper separation layers is recommended.
